We just found out that in our first year of entering, we have been recognized by the good folks at the Webby Awards.  Our John Jacobs’ Golf Schools Presents: Quick Tips has been selected as an Official Honoree in the 2009 Webby Awards, considered by many to be the “Oscars of the Internet.”  We’re pretty excited here at the Generation Idea Media world headquarters.  This adds to the honors for this project… We learned a few weeks back that these web videos also received a Telly Award.

You can see the complete Webby Awards listing below…

Webisode #1 of “Phoenix Dream Days” launches with Iron Chef champ Mark Tarbell

“Phoenix Dream Days,” a webisodic documentary series Generation Idea Media is producing for the Greater Phoenix Convention and Visitors Bureau, launched today with Mark Tarbell, a longtime local chef who has cooked for everybody from Muhammad Ali to the Dalai Lama, sharing his dream day in Phoenix.  This fast-paced, day-in-the-life series follows prominent Phoenicians as they share their favorite things to do in the Valley of the Sun, from sunrise to sunset, and for some, well into the night.  Tarbell takes us to his favorite places to hike, grab a sandwich, and hit the local music scene.

You can view this webisode at http://www.visitphoenix.com/dreamday

For more information on Mr. Tarbell, including his victory on the Food Network’s “Iron Chef America” series, visit his restaurant’s web site, http://www.tarbells.com.  When you come to Phoenix, you have got to eat there, and trust me… make sure you order the mac n’ cheese.

And come back soon to the blog for information on who will be featured in the next two websidoes.
